The PMO Podcast™ Episode Summary

  The PMO Podcast™ Featured Story
This week The PMO Podcast™ Featured Story presents “Project Management in the MENA Region, an interview with Rakan Saraiji, Managing Director of BOT MENA (see BOT MENA)" presented by Mark Perry, host of The PMO Podcast™." Do you know what part of the world the MENA Region encompasses? Are you aware of the state of project management and PMOs in the MENA Region? Today's guest, Rakan Saraiji, provides insights and perspectives on PMOs and project management in the MENA Region.

  The PMO Podcast™ Points Memo
The PMO Podcast Points Memo presents, “Know where the project is heading.” Imagine just for a minute that you are on an airplane and you hear the pilot announce, “I have some good news and some bad news. The bad news is that we have lost our navigation system, but the good news is that we are still flying 600 miles per hour.” I don’t know about you, but if I were a passenger on that plane, I would be just a bit concerned by the announcement. And, if I were a team member on a project that was proceeding fast and furious without benefit of navigation, I would also feel very much the same way. While it is important that the project makes progress, it is far more important where the project is progressing in the right direction.

  The PMO Podcast™ Mailbag
The PMO Podcast Mailbag answers a question about management's edict to use Microsoft Project.
