| The PMO Podcast Points Memo suggests, “Pay Attention To Grandmother”. Do you have the kind of grandmother that gives you advice? As kids, we always enjoyed visiting grandmother and we especially enjoyed all of the good eats grandmother made for us. And, when we sat down to dinner, she would always tell us to finish our vegetables and to chew ten times before swallowing our food. Now, what do vegetables and chewing your food have to do with project management? Well, to many folks and me, vegetables are like the documentation of project management. No one likes to do it, but it needs to be done. It is good for the project effort and almost always contributes to a good overall project health. And the chewing ten times part is akin to not rushing through the documentation. When you rush through documentation, it defeats the purpose. Take the time to do it right and to get it right. | ||||
