| The PMO Podcast Points Memo suggests, "Don't present ideas to management. " Most of the time, when people present ideas to management, let’s day a project manager has a great idea to present to the PMO manager, they pop into the office unannounced and ask, “Do you have a minute?” The PMO manager probably doesn’t, but replies anyway, “Sure, what’s up?” With that, the project manager describes his idea and when finished says, “What do you think?” Well, almost always, the idea is good. And, almost always, it is more likely to be filed away and forgotten than acted upon. So, don’t present ideas to management. Rather, if you really think your idea has merit, then sell it to management. | ||||
