The PMO Podcast™ Episode Summary

  The PMO Podcast™ Featured Story
This week The PMO Podcast™ discusses Requirements Definition. Provided is an interview with Jim Bowen, President, On Target Program Management Solutions. Jim discusses PMO Leadership in Requirements Definition, the three "R's", and provides insights and ideas on how to ensure proper attention is given to managing requirements throughout the project life cycle.

  The PMO Podcast™ Points Memo
Don't get called our on strikes. Organizations and individuals can often be resistant to change, and late to act upon new project opportunities, and process improvement suggestions for the PMO. Over time, this pattern of behavior can result in project organization "hitting slumps". Be mindful of such slumps and take action to ensure that when a good idea comes along to the PMO or to the project manager, it doesn’t just simply pass on by.

  The PMO Podcast™ Mailbag
Listener question regarding when to use Earned Value Management (EVM) and when to use simpler metrics.
