Let me start by welcoming you all to The ITG Evangelist blog here at BOT International. Many of you have known me through my years of service at Computer Associates and my blog at CA. I hope you all will enjoy following me here as I enthusiastically continue my journey and commitment to servant-leadership in the IT Governance, PPM, PMO, and Process Strategy domains.

It is amazing how life comes at us in ways that we can not fully understand nor appreciate at the time. For example, a few years ago I met Mark Perry at a conference. He and I were both speaking at the event and we found the time to sit down and have a chat. We had a lot in common and shared a similar passion especially related to tempered, business-driven PMO and PPM strategies and best practices as opposed to the all too familiar theoretical models and "cookie-cutter" approaches. A year or so later, Mark invited me to be showcased and to contribute a case study to his book, Business Driven PMO Setup - Practical Insights, Techniques and Case Examples for Ensuring Success. This was a great experience for me and one that led me to write my own book, Eliminating "Us And Them"; Making IT and the Business One.

Over the years, my passion for helping enterprises realize the full potential of their IT investments for strategic and competitive advantage has continued to grow and advance, so much so that it was becoming evident to me that a change might be needed; one that would enable me to draw upon years of experience and customer relationships and to take these things and my passion in new directions and to new heights. In discussions with a number of colleagues and friends, including Mark, I decided to make a change.

With great fondness of CA and all those I had worked with there, my journey continues but on a different course. I look forward to heading the ITG practice for BOT International and continued service to customers and the ITG, PPM, and PMO communities. And I am especially eager to take on a number of business intiatives that until now were just not possible to pursue. I invite you to find me here where I will be posting my thoughts, advice, research findings, and things that I am learning from others.
